ELIZABETH “BETTY” DALEY ANDERSON was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from Haskell High School in 1939 and from Kansas University in 1943. She served active duty in the Medical Corps, U.S. Army, at the General Hospital at Ft. Lewis, Washington, from August 1944 to December 1945. Her specialty was Hospital Dietician. She and Stanley E. Anderson were married on June 24, 1944. Betty was discharged with the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Her husband, Stanley, also served in WWII. They live in Springfield, Missouri.
